Snowglobe
You are my rest, my kingdom, my world
You are my sanctuary, a warm blanket wrapped around me;
Relieving me of my tiredness, worries and woes
You are a wed of memories
You are a familiar face at the end of a long day
All my sorrows and joys have been set on your stage,
Everything I have known played out against your backdrop
A kaleidoscope of emotions painted on your walls
Yet you are so small, a fraction of the earth
Perches on Primrose Hill admiring the view, I notice-
You are little more than a glistering snowglobe
Sunlight dancing on the towers
Concrete fields speckled with pigeons
